Steiff Teddy Bear sold by James&Sons Auctioneers Eyebrows were raised among staff at James and Sons when a Steiff Teddy Bear, together with a Hand Grenade, were knocked down to Freddy Star.  This happened at the company’s latest auction at Fakenham Racecourse on Wednesday, 18th December.

Prices were consistently good, with Jewellery, Toys, Coins and Stamps being particularly buoyant.  Medals were the real stars of the sale, with the King’s Police Medal group relating to Charles E. Warner achieving £1,400 and the Canadian Expeditionary Force Family Group reaching £2,000, with Japanese and Thailand decorations attracting particular interest.

The next auction at Fakenham Racecourse will be held on Wednesday, 30th January, with the closing date for entries on 10th January.
