SPECTACULAR MILITARIA SUCCESS AT FAKENHAM AUCTION

Militaria sold a fakenham auctionJames and Sons March sale, at the Prince of Wales Suite, Fakenham Racecourse, to which they were recently upgraded was marked by tremendous successes for militaria items. The front cover lot, an OBE group of four awarded to a pioneer of airship command, which had been expected to fetch between £100 and £200 actually sold for £1,300. Only a few minutes later a rare Battle of Britain spitfire pilots grouping which had been estimated at £1,950 to £2,000 went for £4,000.
