James and Sons’ second visit to the Prince of Wales Suite at Fakenham Racecourse was very successful. Over 900 lots went under the hammer, with highlights including: lot 89, an engraved letter from the Singer Cycle Company estimated at between £20-30 going for £110, lot 204, an infantry officer’s sword with embossed initials estimated at £150-200 Reaching £220, lot 251, a Hertfordshire Regiment World War 1 Death Plaque and Trio estimated at £150-250 reaching £410, lot 302, an early 19th an above estimate £22 and lot 704, a postcard of B Norman Gunkaer premises, estimated at £8-10 reaching £22.
